Hello all,
I am seeking insurance coverage now that my employer's insurance is expiring (and COBRA is too expensive). Any recommendations on affordable health insurance despite having a pre-existing RSI condition? Thanks for your input. Eric |

yes COBRA is expensive, but it's still cheaper than privately buying insurance in most cases. Also, you won't have to deal with any "pre-existing condition" clauses that signing up for new insurance will require.
One option is you find a man or woman and get married (domestic partnerships count toward spousal insurance in California). I almost did, but then I found another job. When I was shopping for insurance, I found that after adding up the monthly costs and deductibles, it would actually be cheaper to treat my RSI by paying out of pocket. By "treat" I mean some occasional bodywork and painkillers. Good luck. I know not having insurance is a scary thing. |
