Creating the Conditions for Healing

An Evening with Deborah Quilter

Healing, in many ways, is a choice. Through our daily actions, we can encourage or disrupt the recovery process. In this special evening mini-seminar, Deborah Quilter will discuss ways you can take recovery into your own hands, including an overview of the use of visualization, meditation and self-talk, self-treatment and self-care options, the role of relaxation and restoration, how emotions can speed or impede recovery, and the appropriate use of exercise and movement.

Friday, May 2, 2008, 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Cost: $30.00

Tools for Healing
Workshops with Deborah Quilter and Cliff Smyth

Take steps toward healing by exploring a number of effective approaches. These workshops will feature applications from gentle, restorative Yoga, and the Feldenkrais Method® that are particularly suitable for people with RSI or other injuries affecting the hands and arms, and others living with painful conditions. Through gentle work with the breath, the eyes and your whole self, you will not only feel better, but also will have a number of techniques you can take home to use for yourself. The Yoga postures and Feldenkrais® lessons will be gentle and non-competitive. The workshop will also explore the attitudes that help you transform your experience and move toward healing. The workshop groups will be small, with a maximum of 12 participants, to allow for attention to your individual learning needs. The combined experience and synergy of these two exceptional teachers will make this an invaluable workshop.

Choose from either:

Saturday, May 3, 2008, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
or
Sunday, May 4, 2008, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $100.00
